Into the Unknown /// The Gnomon Workshop

I’ve had the enormous pleasure and honor to be called by the legendary Gnomon Workshop @thegnomonworkshop to create their very first iPad / @Procreate tutorial! Based in Hollywood, Gnomon is the most prestigious school in the entertainment industry, so you can imagine how important and truly significant this is for me. I’ve learned a ton with their workshops when I was starting out, and now it’s extremely humbling and fulfilling to be on the other side of the canvas.

The tutorial is called “Creating Fantasy Illustrations with Procreate,” where I’ll take you through the journey of The Knight - a medieval-esque explorer - as he crashes his retro futuristic spacecraft into an unknown world. It’s two hours long, and it’s PACKED - you’ll see absolutely the entire creative process, encompassing everything from Procreate basics, composition, character design and everything in between. I love to discuss not only about fundamentals and techniques, but also subjective ideas about creativity, and I had an absolutely great time talking about all of this.
